See. Hear. Feel. Act.

Transforming the climate narrative through immersive, community-driven storytelling.

ReEarth Gallery is a pan-African multimedia initiative that redefines how we engage with the climate crisis. Through immersive exhibitions, compelling photography, evocative soundscapes, and participatory film, we bring the urgency of environmental change into the heart of public life.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between awareness and action by making climate issues visible, emotional, and impossible to ignore.

Why Representation Matters

Despite contributing the least to global greenhouse gas emissions, Africa is the most vulnerable continent to climate change, with over 100 million people projected to be at risk from climate-related impacts by 2030 (AfDB, UNFCCC). Yet, African voices make up less than 1% of climate-related global media coverage (Climate Tracker, 2021). Grounded in the belief that climate justice begins with representation, our work centers the voices, experiences, and perspectives of everyday people living on the frontlines of environmental change. We believe that when communities see themselves reflected in the climate story, they are more likely to take ownership of climate solutions—a belief backed by behavioral science, which shows that narratives rooted in lived experience increase public engagement by up to 60% (Yale Program on Climate Communication, 2020).

We are a team of visual artists, documentarians, sound designers, filmmakers, and cultural strategists united by a shared commitment: to make climate change personal, visible, and urgent for communities often excluded from the global conversation.

Our Allies

Our Programs and Services

Immersive Public Exhibitions

Traveling multimedia showcases curated in non-traditional public spaces across East Africa. These exhibitions combine photography, film, ambient sound, and narrative storytelling to create emotionally resonant experiences rooted in lived realities.

Educational Photobooks & Climate Learning Tools

High-quality, story-rich photobooks designed to be distributed to schools, community libraries, and youth hubs. These books serve as accessible, culturally relevant learning materials to promote environmental education.

Community Engagement & Co-Creation Workshops

Collaborations with local communities to document their experiences with climate impacts and solutions. Workshops include storytelling training, participatory media production, and artist-led dialogues.

Continental Artist Network Building

Formation of a network of climate-conscious artists across Africa. We provide mentorship, visibility, and platforms for artists working on environmental themes to collaborate, amplify their voices, and scale their impact.

Policy & Civic Engagement Integration

By embedding our exhibitions in civic spaces, we create natural points of connection between the public and decision-makers. Our goal is to catalyze grassroots pressure that drives policy change from the bottom up.

Mission

To democratize climate communication and catalyze meaningful behavior change through sensory storytelling and localized public art.

Vision

An Africa where every community—regardless of socioeconomic status—has the tools, knowledge, and emotional connection needed to drive climate-positive action.
